The lost gaze: Cuba 1970-1984

This exhibition is the first survey ever done about the forgotten photographic memory produced in the island during one of its decisive historical moments

The selected black-and-white images have the essential value of a true document, while they stand as a testimony of the ideologies and concepts of their authors throughout the historic period in question.

The points of view included in this exposition registered Cuban men and women “standing” on their daily scenery and with their characteristic attitudes, offering a new dimension of post-revolutionary Cuba.
