With the underwater photograph
freeze instants of the experiences that lived during the brief immersions in
the underwater world, a means in which the humans play clumsily and in which we
can only remain shortly. Not even
our eyes are designed to observe without help what lies under the water. By
means of the creation of underwater images can share with the rest of the world
the visions of those that aventure
to submerge in the seas with a
camera to photograph the others 2/3 of the planet.
The fine mantle of the surface separates our daily world of air and light of the aquatic space where the rays of sun disappear to the few subways and the oxygen is a priceless good. Under the waves hide a universe that as soon as have begun to understand and that is suffering a severe deterioration. Pollution, overfishing, global warming and other threats have put in danger the existance of the marine species.
Blues is a window to the beauty and the reality of the marine world. During 15 years the photographer Carlos Villoch has visited the six continents capturing with his camera the lights and creatures of the oceans. From the Antártic to the South Seas, the blue of the oceans and the melancholic call of its inhabitants have remained registered in his photographs. So much the big cetáceos as the small pólipos of coral, all, need help. It is our duty to preserve the wonders of the underwater world for the future generations.
In addition to showing the beauties of the marine funds in photographs of high quality also does reference by means of images and texts to another reality that is finishing with the oceans. Overfishing, pollution, global warming, fishingnets left abandoned and "aleteo" of sharks are only some of the problems to which each day face the marine species.
