BANCAJA´S FOUNDATION WILL RECEIVE THE PIRANESI
Bancaja´s Foundation will receive in two of its exhibition rooms an exhibition coming from Montserrat´s Museum “Los Piranesi de Montserrat” engravings made by Giovanni Battista Piranesi (s.XVIII), known as “The Rembrandt of the ruins”, who knew how to reflect as nobody the decadence of Rome in that time, foreseeing the spirit of Romanticism.Currently, this engravings collection is considered one of the most important in Spain, along with those of the National Library in Madrid and the San Carlos Royal Academy in Valencia.
